Clashes erupted between students and forces in Langate area in northern part of Kashmir’s Kupwara district, reports said on Thursday.
They said that students of Government Higher Secondary School Langate took to streets to protest against the student arrests.

Forces lobbed teargas shells to disperse the protesting students, triggering clashes.
Following the clashes, shopkeepers downed their shutters and traffic went off the roads.
Clashes were going on in the area when this report was being filed.
