The second semester Bachelor of Engineering (BE) students of SSM College Wednesday staged protest against the College management for ‘misleading’ the Kashmir University.

The students who assembled here in Press Enclave Srinagar said that they have completed only 20 per cent syllabus while the College head in her report to Kashmir University has claimed that they have completed all the syllabus which is not only misleading and baseless, but also an attempt to play with the careers of the students.

“The Chairperson of SSM College Dil Afroza Qazi has submitted course completion certificate to KU authorities which is misleading. The fact is that 80% of our syllabus is still incomplete. We don’t blame Kashmir University but we want Vice-Chancellor (V-C) of University of Kashmir (KU) Prof Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi to initiate action against her for misleading them,” said the protesting students.

They said that there examinations will start from 14th of this month while the fact is that students are yet to submit their examination forms. The protesting students demanded postponement of the said exams saying that they can’t qualify as they have not completed the syllabus. (CNS)
