Against the alleged thrashing of students by CRPF personnel in Chreel village of Banihal hundreds of students on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration by blocking Srinagar-Jammu highway.

Reports said that students from various schools and colleges marched towards Banihal town and blocked the highway.
The students were demanding action against the CRPF personnel who they alleged thrashed some students five kilometers ahead of Banihal.
Students said that the paramilitary trooper, on way to Jammu thrashed few students.
Pertinently, there were clashes across Kashmir between students and government forces as former were protesting against forces for entering inside Pulwama college.
Scores of students were injured in the clashes.
