Intense clashes have reportedly erupted in main town Pulwama on Wednesday.
Reports said that students early morning started pelting stones on Police Station Pulwama in the main town.
In a bid to disperse the protesters, police retaliated by lobbying tear smoke shells.
The clashes led the closure of market in the town.
