Students and employees who have to travel to north Kashmir daily for work on Saturday appealed the railway authorities to revise the summer timings.

A group of employees said the new timings taking effect from Monday didn’t the office-goers or students.

“Previously, there used to be a train to Baramulla around 9 30 am. This year, they have cancelled it,” said an employee posted at Baramulla.

“The other morning trains to the north are not in sync with the office timings. It will be trouble for all the employees who travel by train.”

The students also said the last year’s timings used to suit them.

“This year, neither morning nor evening trains are suitable for us. There are no trains around 3 pm and 10 am. We wonder why these trains have been cancelled,” said a student of Degree College Sopore.

The commuters appealed the authorities to consider their request.
