Amid heat wave, authorities on Tuesday announced summer vacations for all private and government schools from July 1st (Friday).
The Schools as per a circular issued by Directorate of School Education Kashmir will re-open on July 18 (Monday).
“All government institutions and Private Schools up to Higher Secondary Level falling in Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu region will observe summer vacations from July 1, 2016 to July, 17, 2016,” Director of School Education Shah Faisal said in a statement.
He said all the schools have been strictly advised to observe the summer vacations as per the schedule in the interest of students given the rise in day temperature.
Any default on the part of any private school in observance of the calendar of vacations, shall attract action under rules, he added.
