AIP chief and MLA Langate, Er Rasheed has accused successive governments of ignoring and exploiting the weaker sections of society especially Gujjar and Bakarwal community and has demanded a probe to investigate that where and how the developmental funds meant for these sections and areas have been spent.
Addressing a gathering at Bamyal Nagroota Er. Rasheed according to statement asked those making taller claims of touching new heights of development need to explain why do these pockets dominated by Gujjar and Bakarwal population lack every basic immunities of life.
Er. Rasheed while appealing the community to stress more on education stressed upon the government to see things beyond politics and not make political loyalty the criteria for providing even minor facilities to these areas.
“While world is enjoying dividends of democracy and people are talking of equitable development, Gujjar and Bakarwal community and other weaker sections have become a money making machine for few politicians and bureaucrats,” he added.
