Srinagar

A complete shutdown is being observed in Sumbal town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district to protest against the firing of pellets at a shopkeeper on Thursday, May 10, 2018.

Reports said that Shopkeepers kept the shops closed to protest against the injuring of a trader after he was hit by pellets fired by police yesterday afternoon during clashes.

The Trader’s Federation Sumbal has announced that protest will continue until police lodge FIR against the accused policeman who fired pellets on innocent shopkeeper Abdul Rashid, now battling for eyesight at SKIMS.

Forces had yesterday fired pellets at the shopkeepers and students during a protest march taken out by the latter against the recent militant and civilian killings.
