Sunday polling in Central Kashmir Lok Sabha constituency is emerging as the worst electoral exercises as so far five persons, mostly youth, are reported dead. The injured are reported to be in scores and most of them carrying pellet injuries, above the chest.
The latest killing was reported from Daulatpora in Chadoora. Reports identified the slain as Shabir Ahmad. Police, though confirming the killing, has not immediately confirmed the identity of the slain boy.

The circumstance in which Shabir has lost his life was not immediately known. Reports said the person was shifted to the local sub district hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Yet another boy was killed in another shootout in Kawoosa village in the periphery of Srinagar. Reports said a young man identified as Adil Ahmad in Kawoosa. He was rushed to JVC hospital where he was declared dead. He had been hit by a tear smoke shell and received a serious head injury.
Budgam has witnessed massive tensions in the ongoing polls on Sunday. Earlier in the day two persons were reported killed in forces action in the Dalwan village. Later, another young man was killed in forces firing in the Ratsuna village in Budgam.
