Five army men and a civilian have died after militants stormed the Sunjuwan Army camp in Jammu on Saturday.

The five Army men and one civilian were identified as:

Sub. Madan Lal Choudhary (1st Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry, JAK LI), Sub. Mohd Ashraf Mir (1st JAK LI), Hav. Habib-Ullah Qurashi (1st JAK LI), NK Manzoor Ahmed (1st JAK LI), L/NK Mohd Iqbal (1st JAK LI), and father of L/NK Mohd Iqbal (civilian).

Over 24 hours after the Army base was attacked by heavily-armed militants who wore Army combat uniform, operations are still on. Nine people have been injured. Four Jaish-e-Mohammed militants have been killed so far, Army sources said.

At least two to three militants are still operating inside the army base, according to Army sources. Army chief Bipin Rawat reached Jammu this morning to review the anti-militant operations.

Reports said that Jammu is on high alert and schools near the Army camp have been closed.
