A suspected militant was killed in an encounter that followed an attack on a CRPF camp on Jammu-Srinagar Highway in Kud area of Udhampur District, a senior police officer said on Monday.
Heavy firing continues in the area, Udhampur Senior Superintendent of Police said.
Police and CRPF personnel have been dispatched to the scene of encounter. Security forces have halted traffic flow on the highway.
