Suspected militants attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp at Panzgam, Awantipora area of district Pulwama on Thursday night.
Reports said that militants opened fire on CRPF camp near railway station Awantipora and forces retaliated with few rounds of gun fires.
However, no loss of life or injury was reported on either side.
Meanwhile, a joint team of CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police have cordoned off the area and search operation is going on.
