Srinagar
A cop was injured after militants attack Hurriyat leaders residence at Bilal Colony Soura area of Srinagar on Sunday evening, resulting in injuries of a cop who was guarding the Hurriyat leader Fazal Haq Qureshi.
SHO Soura confirmed the incident adding that suspected militants have fled with the rifle also.
“In the incident, the cop identified as Farooq Ahmed itoo, a resident of Chadoora Budgam have suffered major injuries and has been shifted to SKIMS hospital for the traetment.,” SHO said.
Meanwhile, the government forces have cordoned off the area and search operation has been started to nab the assailants.
