Militants on Friday evening gave slip to a joint party of Army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of police during cordon at Nihama area of Kakpora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Police sources said that acting on information regarding the presence of some militants, Army’s 55 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), CRPF and Special Operations Group of police cordoned off Nihama, Kakpora in Pulwama on Friday evening and started combing operation to flush out the suspected militants.

Sources said the militants managed to flee from the spot by taking advantage of darkness.
