Syed Ali Geelani, has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST). The announcement was made by the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, in two day International Kashmir Seminar organised by the university. On the occasion university’s Vice Chancellor Dr Prof Habib ur Rehman was also present.
“Vice Chancellor later called up Syed Ali Geelani acknowledging his work as an author of 40 books and also lauded his role in the resistance movement of Kashmir,” said Peer Saif ullah, the Personal secretary of the leader.
