SRINAGAR: Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari officially assumed the charge of Joint Director Information Kashmir on Wednesday, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the department. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Deputy Director Information and PR, Ahsan ul Haq Chishti, Cultural Officer Burhan Hussain, and other senior officers, who congratulated him on his new role.
Following his appointment, Bukhari conducted an introductory meeting with officers and staff from various units within the department. During the meeting, he took a first-hand appraisal of the department’s functioning and outlined his vision for the future.
Emphasising the significance of teamwork, Bukhari urged the department’s staff to collaborate and work collectively to enhance its outreach and improve efficiency in achieving its objectives. His leadership is expected to bring new energy and focus to the Information Department as it continues to play a crucial role in disseminating information and strengthening public communication in the region.
