Paying rich tributes to the slain youth of Pinjora Tral encounter, Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani on Wednesday said “our youth lay their lives to end the age-old slavery of their nation and for the right to self-determination. In a telephonic address to mourners, Syed Ali Geelani paid his heartfelt tributes to slain youth Adil Ahmad Lone and reiterated his pledge to take the movement to its logical end. We will never allow anybody to barter with the precious blood of militants, said Syed Ali Geelani. We need to be aware of this and we are duty bound to safeguard their sacrifices and should desist from such activities which prove detrimental to our movement, added Geelani.
Hailing the sacrifices rendered by youth, Geelani said that their blood is pious as that of Haram-e-Paak and the people who for pity gains barter this blood are betraying nation and will find nothing hereafter except punishment for their misdeeds. Syed Ali Geelani said that development or material gains won’t serve our goal, saying state-sponsored tactics won’t deter us from pursuing our mission and even if they macadamise our roads with gold or silver, still we won’t accept supremacy of India, nor these measures would deter us from pursuing our cherished mission of freedom, he added.
Referring to the history of past events, Geelani said that since past 70 years our nation has rendered unparallel sacrifices, thousands were caged and brutally tortured, properties worth billions razed to the ground and looted, and sexual assault and rape used as a war weapon, he added.
Stressing the need of improving strong relation with Almighty Allah, Syed Ali Geelani said we need to improve and strengthen our faith in Almighty Allah only and hold fast all of you together to the rope of Allah and be not divided among yourselves, Geelani stressed. Syed Ali Geelani stressed nation and particularly youth to illustrate steadfastness, repose faith in Allah and disassociate from difference within folds of Muslim society.
Geelani asked youth to remain cautious about the sinister designs of anti-movement elements and while expressing his dismay and displeasure over increasing waywardness in society, said we need to be vigilant and check the increasing ratio of crime graph in society.
Syed Ali Geelani said that we are receiving reports that youth and particularly in some areas even young girls are being summoned by forces, saying it is extremely humiliating, unbearable and unacceptable.
Syed Ali Geelani urged people to boycott upcoming elections and asked people to exhibit steadfastness and keep away from these shame elections. He said participation in these elections tantamount to “treason with the blood of martyrs”. “Indian authorities are misleading world community by portraying people’s participation in elections as a verdict in their favor,” he said. It is prerequisite to convey a strong message to the world community that we pursue a cherished mission of freedom and in no way, justify, defend or favor these elections, said Geelani.
