Minister for Medical Education and Youth Service and Sports, Taj Mohi-u-Din Monday appealed the government to come up with an official statement over Shopian killings.
“Now everything has appeared in the media so I request Chief Minister to come up with an official statement and make the facts public,” Taj told reporters on the side lines of a function organized by BSF at Humhama, Budgam.
“Whatever information I had gathered about the Shopian incident, I forwarded that, now I want that Chief Minister and Home Department should an official statement in this regard so that people would come to know about the reality,” he said.
He said whatever he had said about the Shopian incident was off the record. “Now it has appeared in the media so I want an official statement to be issued in this regard,” Taj said.
While replying to a question, Taj Mohi-u-Din said that National Conference and Congress party are dependent on each other and both can’t survive without helping each other.
“It’s not me or Mustafa Kamal who has to decided about the future course of action. It is High Command, which would discus and decide about the pre-poll alliance,” Taj said.
