SRINAGAR: Secretary Higher Education Talat Parvaiz Rohella on Wednesday inaugurated Additional Academic Block for the Degree College.
District Development Commissioner Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai, Director Colleges Mohamad Yaseen Shah, Principal Degree College, GM J&K SICOP project wing and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
The newly constructed academic block is double storied building with eight lecture halls which has been completed at a cost of Rs. 423.76 lacs.
Talat Parvaiz said that new academic block has been constructed to mitigate space constraint and shall be very useful in imparting quality education in the district. He instructed the principal degree college to set up lease line for ensuring uninterrupted internet service to the college.
On the occasion, DDC Budgam assured that sports ground near Degree College shall be used as a venue for sports activities and other cultural activities for students of the college.
