National Conference on Friday said the PDP-BJP Government had proven to be a “complete political as well as governance disaster” for the State and the people of the State have “yet again reposed their faith in National Conference and its agenda of inclusive, pro-active and pro-people governance”.

Addressing party workers, new entrants and public at Khanpora village in Khag, Beerwah, Political Secretary to Working President Tanvir Sadiq said, “there was a pro-NC wave in every nook and corner of the State and that the party was consolidating its grassroots presence to ensure it safeguards the State’s interests and honour.”

Addressing a gathering in Khanpora, Khag where “the entire village joined National Conference en-masse”, Tanvir Sadiq lashed out at the PDP-BJP Government for “abandoning” its promises and “leaving the people to the mercy of God in the absence of basic governance”.

“Our ration depots are without ration, works started by the previous Omar Abdullah Government are being re-branded as new works with new foundation stones to hoodwink the people. There is no sign of governance and the Chief Minister remains busy in appeasing BJP and the RSS without an iota of accountability to the people of the State,” the NC leader said.

“In Beerwah, the constituency is witnessing a golden-era of development, accountability and accessibility to their representative. While the State Government is hell-bent to victimize people based on partisan outlooks, Omar Abdullah has ensured that Beerwah doesn’t suffer and has personally strived to ensure urgent developmental works are initiated. Electric, water-supply and road infrastructure has been upgraded in the constituency while Omar Abdullah is personally monitoring the status and progress of the health and education sector institutes in the constituency,” Tanvir Sadiq added.
