Strongly condemning the attack on doctors at SMHS hospital, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, CPI (M) State Secretary and MLA has demanded the culprits be identified and booked under law.

In a statement issued to CNS, Tarigami termed the attack on doctors an inhuman act. “While the government should take a stern action against the culprits responsible for the incident, it is imperative for the administration take the requisite measures to prevent such attacks in future,” the CPI (M) state secretary added.

He said while the people should not suffer for want of better healthcare facilities and services, but it is also to be understood that the paucity of human resource and working under an overburdened atmosphere for doctors deserve a patient hearing.

“While the doctors and the para medical staff should try to understand and fulfill their responsibilities better patient care, the people should also go for introspection that human resources working in the hospital are a part of their society,” Tarigami added.

The CPI (M) leader asked the government to increment in hospital security so that such attacks are prevented in future and the hospital properties are not damaged by the miscreants.
