Tarigami grieved over Bemina tragedy, seeks airlifting of dead bodies, ex-gratia to NOKs

CPI (M) leader Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed grief and shock over the tragic incident in Mansoor Colony, Bemina area of Srinagar in which five members including two minors of a family died. There are reports that they had rented a room and were putting up there as the road to Tangdhar, Kupwara was closed after heavy snowfall since overnight.

In a statement issued here today, the CPI (M) leader demanded that the dead bodies of deceased be immediately airlifted to their native village in Tangdhar as the road is closed after heavy snowfall.

He expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives and urged the government to provide ex-gratia to the families of the deceased.
