Saadut Hussain, a banker known for his presence and participation in social media has been appointed as the new head of the chief minister’s grievance cell. The decision on this regard was taken by GAD on Wednesday.

Hussain having a number of official stints under his belt is presently handling a top IT position in Jammu and Kashmir Bank.

“It is challenging task,” Hussain, a known commentator told Kashmir Life. “I will look forward to make the cell functional with the motive to bridge the gaps between public expectations and government delivery system.”

Launched in September 2009 by the former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, CM’s  grievance cell has reportedly received 28066 complaints till date with 40-50 complaints pouring daily. Most of the complaints revolve around lack of electricity, non-availability of drinking water and other basic facilities.

But on face of “paucity of funds” and “delayed” responses, many say the task of Hussain won’t be a cakewalk.
