SRINAGAR: A 15-year-old boy was killed due to an electric shock in the Mendhar area of Poonch district on Thursday.
Officials said that the boy accidentally came into contact with a live wire, resulting in severe injuries.
Locals quickly shifted him to the Sub-district Hospital Mendhar for treatment; however, doctors there declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Ashfaq (15), son of Mohd Aslam, a resident of Gohlad.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case, and an investigation has been initiated. (GNS)
