Tehreek-i-Hurriyat Secretary General, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai overseeing ‘Syed Ali Geelani Blood Bank’ held camp in Ganderbal on Friday.

On its foundation day, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir Friday organized a Blood Donation camp in Ganderbal under the banner of “Syed Ali Geelani Blood Bank”.

Pertinently, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat was formed on 7 August 2004 after senior leaders Syed Ali Geelani and Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai parted ways with socio-religo-politico Jama’at-e-Islami.

A Hurriyat activist said that around 101 pints of blood were donated by youth.

The activist alleged that when the blood donation camp started some army personnel came and questioned the organizers. “They asked about the camp and clicked some pictures as well.”
