SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Government has suspended a KAS officer for dereliction of his duties involving disobedience and very poor performance in the issuance of the domicile certificates to the applicants causing huge suffering and inconvenience to the general public.
According to Government order No 88-JK(Rev) of 2020, pending inquiry, Ravi Shankar junior KAS Tehsildar Jammu (KHAS) is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect and is attached in the office of divisional commissioner Jammu.
“The Deputy Commissioner Jammu shall hold an enquiry into the conduct and performance of the said officer under rules and furnish a report accordingly to the government within a period of 15 days positively,” reads the order issued by Principal Secretary to the government Revenue Department Dr Pawan Kotwal.
