SRINAGAR: The minimum temperatures recorded across the region today reflect the ongoing cold conditions. In the Kashmir region, Srinagar recorded a temperature of -5.5°C, while Qazigund was slightly warmer at -4.0°C.
Other areas such as Pahalgam and Kupwara saw temperatures of -6.4°C and -4.3°C, respectively. Gulmarg recorded -5.2°C, and Sonamarg dipped to -6.6°C. Zojila experienced a chilling -24.0°C, and Bandipora and Baramulla recorded temperatures of -4.7°C and -3.6°C, respectively. In Pulwama, the temperature stood at -6.1°C, while Shopian and Larnoo both had temperatures of -6.1°C and -6.3°C. Several other areas, including Anantnag and Ramban, did not provide temperature readings.
In the Jammu region, Jammu recorded a milder 5.8°C, while Banihal saw a colder 1.5°C. Katra was warmer at 8.2°C, and Bhaderwah reached 1.4°C. The temperatures in Kishtwar and Padder were 5.3°C and -2.9°C, respectively, with Samba registering 1.0°C. Kathua, Reasi, and Udhampur had temperatures of 5.7°C, 3.4°C, and 3.3°C, respectively.
The Ladakh region continued to experience extreme cold, with Leh recording -11.7°C, Kargil at -14.3°C, and Drass experiencing the lowest temperature in the region at -22.5°C.
