A tenant in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday allegedly murdered his landlord with a sharp-edged weapon.
A police spokesman in a statement said, “Today PS Shopian at 1900 hrs received reliable information that Nazir Ahmed Dar son of Abdul Gani Dar a resident of Manloo Shopian hit a person namely Bilal Ahmed Tak son of Ghulam Mohammad Tak a resident of Batpora Shopian with a sharp axe .”
“The injured person was shifted to District hospital Shopian by some passerby’s,” he said.
“To this effect Case FIR No 56/2020 U/S 341,307 IPC has been registered in PS Shopian. Accused has been arrested and investigation set in motion,” he added.
Meanwhile injured was referred to SMHS Srinagar, however on the way he succumbed to the injuries.
“Dead body is being brought back to district hospital Shopian for medico-legal formalities,” said the spokesman.
