SRINAGAR: Tenant verification has been made mandatory as per various provisions of CrPC, Srinagar police said today.
In view of increase in social & general crimes in Srinagar, Tenant verification has been made mandatory as per various provisions of CrPC. A police official said that the tenant verification has been made mandatory “in view of increase in social & general crimes in Srinagar”.
“In many crimes involvement of persons staying on rent etc. has been found. Non-verification will lead to FIR u/s 188 of IPC against the landlord,” he added.
