SRINAGAR: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference (NC) leader, Farooq Abdullah, asserted that the BJP seems apprehensive about the growing influence of the INDIA bloc and its candidates.

He questioned why the Prime Minister hasn’t granted statehood to Jammu and Kashmir yet. Farooq Abdullah challenged the notion of dynastic politics, highlighting that political families are elected through democratic processes, similar to other parties.

He criticized the BJP’s tactics, labeling them as propagandistic and rooted in falsehood. “The Only Propaganda BJP Has Is Falsehood,” he said. Moreover, he expressed confidence in the INDIA bloc, asserting that they are poised to win all six seats.

He questioned the delay in granting statehood, particularly since the Prime Minister himself had made promises regarding it during a public rally in Udhampur.

On PM Modi’s assurance of restoring statehood and holding assembly elections, Farooq Abdullah pointed out that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed progress and increased confidence despite being reorganized into a union territory in 2019.
