Police in Punjab have reportedly released posters of Ansar Ghazwat ul Hind commander Zakir Musa after he was allegedly spotted in Amritsar city of the state.

Musa who was earlier affiliated with Hizb ul-Mujahideen outfit was spotted in Amritsar along with a few other men after which Dinanagar police station released his posters, Times Now quoted SSP Gurdaspur as saying.

According to a report published by Times Now said that the spotting of Musa comes after intelligence agencies informed about the presence of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militants in the state.

In a separate incident, the report added, Punjab police’s counter-intelligence wing on Thursday sounded a high alert after inputs about the presence of Jaish militants in the state.

“At least six to seven militants are reportedly in Punjab (possibly Ferozepur area) and planning to move towards Delhi from Punjab side,” Times Now quoted a letter issued by the Counter Intelligence.

“The note advised the authorities to step up security, especially along the border and checking across the state,” Times Now reported.
