SRINAGAR: The Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj has extended the deadline for the Awaas+ 2024 survey under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) till June 18, 2025.
This is the third extension of the survey period. The original deadline of March 31, 2025, was first extended to April 30, then to May 31, and now further extended by 15 days following a request from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The extension aims to ensure completion of the household survey, especially in remote and snowbound areas where the process has faced delays. The Department of Rural Development approved the request to allow additional time for identifying all eligible rural households.
An official statement from the Ministry confirmed that the extension followed multiple requests from states and Union Territories. The additional time is also intended to improve verification of self-reported entries to avoid exclusion of eligible beneficiaries.
As of June 4, 2025, a total of 495,937 households have been surveyed across Jammu and Kashmir, including 72,826 through self-survey and 423,111 through assisted survey.
