SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference president and Handwara MLA Sajad Lone on Sunday condemned the attack on a Delhi–Srinagar passenger bus in Haryana, describing it as a hate-driven act of violence against civilians and calling for strict legal action against those responsible.
In a statement, Lone said the targeting of a bus carrying ordinary passengers, which left an elderly traveller injured, was an act that “must not go unchallenged”.
“This is an incident of hate. A lunatic, drunk on hatred for Kashmiris, indulged in an act of violence against ordinary civilians,” he said.
Lone urged the authorities to treat the incident seriously and ensure that those responsible were brought to justice.
“I hope against hope that this incident is taken seriously and the attackers get the punishment that they deserve,” he said.
