With no government around, the former chief of opposition in J&K is trying his hands in other spheres. Lately the tech-savvy ex-chief minister blew the cover of supposedly secret meeting between BJP’s Ram Madhav and PDP’s Mehbooba Mufti.
Wednesday evening when the chartered plane was flying from Delhi to Srinagar carrying BJP’s national general secretary, it was Omar who detected the arrival of high-profile flight on his twitter handle.
“Unscheduled flight VTJSG just landed in Srinagar after normal operation hours. Something is cooking with the PDP-BJP government formation,” he tweeted.
His tweet not only broke the news, but also managed to fuel speculations around that BJP and PDP are at it, finally.
None could know how Omar blew off the cover until he tweeted once again: “It’s amazing what the occasional alert on a flight tracker app will produce. Next time fly under the radar.” Omar was replying to his party spokesperson, Junaid Mattu, who went on to reveal how the CID was pulled out from the Srinagar Airport ahead of the arrival of Madhav.
