Just as few days of rain make Kashmiris wary of floods, the summer heat too makes them feel ‘hyphoxia’.

This Ramazan Sunday was the hottest day of the summer season in Kashmir, so far.

Speaking to Kashmir Life, an official at Meteorological department said that the district Srinagar recorded a maximum of 33.6 degree Celsius of temperature in the day while it was 21.9 degree Celsius last night.

The last highest recorded temperature remained at 32.7 degree Celsius in the summer capital.

In Jammu, it was 37.6 degree Celsius as against 29.4 degree Celsius last night.

The official further said that the weather system which hovers over valley this time may bring some partial rains in some places.
