Several rounds of funeral prayers were offered to the two slain militants killed in an encounter with government forces in Sharshali area of Khrew in Awantipora town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
According to reports, thousands of people including women and children attended the funeral prayers of slain militants in Braw Bandina and Malangpora villages of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district amid pro-freedom sloganeering.
They said that multiple rounds of funeral prayers were offered to Adnan Ahmad Lone alias Uqaab son of Ghulam Mohammad Lone resident of Braw Bandina, and Adil Bilal Bhat alias Umair Al Hizbi son of Bilal Ahmad Bhat resident of Malangpora, Pulwama both affiliated with Hizb ul-Mujahideen outfit.
Amidst slogans, both the slain militants were laid to rest.
Meanwhile, the complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district to mourn the militant killings.
