Several rounds of funeral prayers were offered to the two slain militants killed in an encounter with government forces in Mujgund area on the outskirts of Srinagar.
According to reports, thousands of people including women and children attended the funeral prayers of slain militants in Hajin town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district amid pro-freedom sloganeering.
They said that multiple rounds of funeral prayers were offered to Mudasir Parrey (14) and Saqib Bilal Sheikh (17) residents of Hajin town both affiliated with the LeT militant outfit.
An eyewitness said that scores of men and women wept bitterly as the bodies were being carried towards its final resting place.
Meanwhile, the complete shutdown is being observed in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district to mourn the militant killings.
