SRINAGAR: Three boys drowned in the Tawi River near Sainik School Nagrota on Sunday evening, triggering a massive search operation.
According to official sources, the incident took place in the evening when the trio slipped into the river and went missing.
The missing boys have been identified as Sonam Dutt, son of Sunny Dutt; Bavish Koul, son of Manohar Nath Koul; and Aditya Pandit, son of Shah Ji Pandit, all residents of the Nagrota area.
Soon after the incident, teams of local police and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to trace the missing boys.
Search efforts were continuing at the time of filing this report. (KNC)
