SRINAGAR: A fire broke out on the top floor of Ali Jan Complex on MA Road, Srinagar, on Saturday, prompting an immediate response from the Fire and Emergency Services, during which three firemen were injured.
The blaze was brought under control in time, preventing it from spreading to the lower floors of the building, an official said.
During the firefighting operation, three firemen sustained injuries and were evacuated from the spot and provided medical attention, the official said.
The official added that timely action by the fire services averted a major blaze. The cause of the fire is being ascertained. (KNC)
