Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three JeM militant associates and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
A police spokesman in a statement said, “On a specific input, police along with army arrested three militant associates affiliated with proscribed outfit JeM.”
“They have been identified as Dilawar Sofi, Sameer Yousuf Ganie and a minor all residents of Chadoora Budgam,” he said.
“The arrested persons were active in the area for last few months and were involved in various subversive activities and providing shelter and logistic support to militants,” he added.
The spokesman said that on their disclosure, incriminating materials including arms and ammunition have also been recovered.
“Case under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Chadoora and further investigation is in progress,” said police spokesman in a statement.
