Official sources saisd that three school-going minor boys have gone missing from the Villgam area in Handwara, located in the northern part of Kupwara district since yesterday.

According to official sources, the trio of minor boys disappeared while they were playing in the vicinity on Monday afternoon. The missing boys have been identified as Nazim Mumtaz, the son of Mumtaz Ahmad Lone, a resident of Phalmarg; Faizan Hameed Mir, the son of Abdul Hameed Mir, hailing from Kalmoona; and Uzair Ahmad Dar, the son of Mohammad Shafi Dar from Chammpora.

Sources stated, “The parents of the missing boys have filed a missing report at the Villgam Police Station.”

Upon reaching out to SHO Villgam, Jaan Mohammad, it was confirmed that a missing report had been received. He stated, “We have initiated efforts to locate the trio,” further urging local residents to come forward with any information or clues about the missing boys. (GNS)
