SRINAGAR: A two-year-old boy drowned in the Mitrigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
An official said the child accidentally slipped into a small canal near his residence in the morning. Locals retrieved him from the water and rushed him to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Salim Anayat, son of Anayat Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Mitrigam in Pulwama district.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident. (KNO)
