SRINAGAR: The TOEFL scholarship is available for Indian students who wish to pursue studies in the UK. The scholarship will support at least 25 Indian students with a scholarship worth Rs 60 lakh. The last date to apply is July 31, 2023.
The scholarship can be availed for undergraduate and post-graduate studies. Each selected candidate will receive a scholarship worth 2.4 lakh. The scholarship winners will be selected by a panel comprising of NISAU, UK University representatives on the basis of academic merit.
To apply for the scholarship, students are required to submit a 500-word essay on “Creating a social impact with a UK-based education” along with their TOEFL test scorecard. A minimum TOEFL test score of 75 out of 120 is required to be eligible for the scholarship. It is important to note that the scholarship is only available for students who are enrolling for the first time.
TOEFL applicants must have a valid passport. The passport should be valid at the time of registration and during the examination as well. Students need to carry the original copy of their passport along with them at the time of examination. Xerox copies or digital pictures of your passport will not be accepted on the exam day. If students don’t have a passport, they can register with a National Photo ID or a Military Identification Card. The identification proof should have a photograph of the applicant and it should not be an expired one. The ID should be registered nationally, which proves that the applicant is a citizen of India.
