Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Pravin Togadia Friday demanded that a central team should be sent to investigate the Baltal incident and  fast-track courts should be decide the cases.

The VHP’s international working president also warned that if Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah fails to take action then he would be responsible for subsequent events.

Togadia warned Muslims that they might have forgotten the communal riots in Gujarat, but surely they remember the Muzaffarnagar riots in Uttar Pradesh.

Togadia, who is known for his aggressive speeches, was reportedly speaking at a press conference in Indore.

“If you set Hanuman’s tail on fire, Lanka will burn. The Godhra incident led to Gujarat riots and alleged rape of the Hindu girl led to the Muzaffarnagar riots,” said Togadia.

Todagia’s statement comes within a few days of VHP president Ashok Singhal’s comment that ‘tables had turned for the Muslims’ in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.

Asked for his reaction on journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik’s meeting with Hafeez Saeed in Pakistan, Togadia said that anyone who talks of dividing Kashmir, which Vaidik apparently did, should be booked for sedition.
