The state government Thursday revealed that Toshakhana (Royal Treasure) of autocratic Dogra Rulers were transferred to Srinagar from Jammu following orders of the then Prime Minister of J&K.
“Some valuable items have been kept in double lock at Sadar Treasury, Srinagar and in the premises of Directorate of Hospitality and Protocol, Gupkar Srinagar,” replied In-Charge Minister Hospitality & Protocol department to legislator Gargi Blowria in upper house. “There was a fire incident at Mubarak Mandi Jammu and items lying in room of Toshakhana were shifted to a secured room in civil secretariat.”
