A senior minister from ruling coalition partner Bhartiya Janata Party Tuesday claimed that “miscreants” responsible for attacks on mobile towers and employees of telecommunication business are those who don’t want PDP-BJP coalition government to function smoothly in Jammu and Kashmir.

“It is a political rivalry and nothing else. I am sure people who criticize our government after losing power are the responsible for these attacks,” PHE Minister Sukhnandan Kumar told CNS adding that these people don’t want development in the state.

“The anti-coalition people want to see people weep. They don’t want flood victims to get rehabilitated. These people don’t want good roads and inflow of tourists in large numbers in Valley. So they indulge in such attacks to create confusion and chaos. I am telling you that these attacks are the fallout of political rivalry and nothing else,” he said.

Responding to a question, BJP Minister said that government is itself puzzled as there is communication breakdown. “We are unable to connect with the people and the officials. I talked to Chief Minister on the issue and he assured that communication system will be restored and people behind such attacks will be exposed,” he said.
