A traders’ body, Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF), on Monday, held a protest demonstration at commercial hub Lal Chowk in Srinagar against the “human rights violations” in the Valley.
Scores of traders assembled in press enclave Lal Chowk today morning and held a demonstration against the “human rights violations” in Kashmir.
Raising anti-government slogans and held banners which read “Stop Killing Kashmiris”, “Stop genocide of Kashmiris” and “ Stop Pellet guns”.
Reports said that police detained some of the traders who were leading the protest.
The one of largest traders’ body in Kashmir “Beopar Mandal Mahraj Gunj” Srinagar staged a sit-in protest against Kashmir “human rights violations”
They appealed to the world community to raise their voice against the ongoing killings of Kashmiris, arresting of innocent youths and harassment of people.
Meanwhile, all traders association in south Kashmir’s Islamabad also held a protest rally against the rights violations.
The protesting traders holding the placards marched in protest and chanted slogans against the human rights violations in Kashmir.
The Joint Resistance Leadership has urged people to observe human rights week starting from December 3. The leadership asked people to hold candlelight vigil.
