Traffic authorities on Saturday said that no fresh traffic will be allowed to ply on the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Sunday.

“Traffic movement disrupted continuously for the 6th day due to frequently shooting stones/landslides occurred in Ramban- Banihal stretch on Jammu Srinagar HW – 44. Traffic Cops and road maintenance agencies are on job (clearing road). Therefore tomorrow on 27.01.2019, subject to fair weather/clearance of road only stranded vehicles shall be allowed,” said traffic police spokesman in a statement.

He said no movement of any type of vehicle shall be allowed from the opposite direction. The commuters are requested to avoid travelling during night hours.

Meanwhile, the traffic on historical Mughal road, and Srinagar-Sonamarg, Gumri remained closed due to the accumulation of snow.

People are requested to undertake a journey only after confirming the status of the road from below mentioned phone Nos.
