SRINAGAR: Irked by traffic management, Omar Abdullah has tweeted that it continues to be one of the “biggest problems in Srinagar city”.
“Painting pretty flyover pillars won’t solve the mess on our roads,” Omar tweeted, “One of the biggest problems in Srinagar city these days is traffic management. I haven’t seen any meaningful steps being taken & no new infrastructure being invested in after the Rambagh flyover was completed.”
Omar’s tweet came days after clogging the arterial airport road during morning hours. It takes almost 45 minutes to reach Lal Chowk from Humhama now. Today, some students were seen loudly crying that they are about to miss the 3rd-semester examination because they are unable to reach the college.
Off late, reaching Srinagar has emerged a major issue from the peripheral districts.
