SRINAGAR: The traffic movement on Srinagar-Leh highway was suspended on Sunday following landslides triggered by heavy rains at Shah Mohallah Kullan area of Gund in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Reports said that the cloudburst triggered by the heavy rains caused flash-floods in Shah Mohallah Kullan due to which the road was closed.
They said that scores of vehicles have been left stranded on both sides, however, no loss of life was reported in the incident.
An official said that they have put men and machinery on the job to clear the road for traffic.
